Going for gold!

One of this summer’s most distinctive symbols helped to raise £480 for the Josh Carrick Foundation and A Smile for a Child. Lauren Read was one of the lucky individuals to be nominated and run with the Olympic torch for the charitable work she does for A Smile for a Child. Her father Chris Read runs the charity which aims to provide grants for disabled & disadvantaged children, to allow them to participate and progress in sport. On Thursday 26 July the two charities joined forces by offering the employees at Pearson Education the chance to be photographed with the iconic golden torch.  The torch went on a tour of all 8 floors of the office building and was accompanied by Pearson employee Gary dressed as Zeus! A big thank you to all those from Pearson that supported us, to Chris for fundraising alongside the Josh Carrick Foundation and to Lauren for trusting us with her torch!! Massive thanks also to Lucy Conlon who set up and organised the day for both charities.
