On Sunday 17 June 2012 the village of Bayford opened up its gardens in aid of charity. This popular biannual event has been held for over 24 years and has raised over £200,000 for charity.
Nearly 3000 visitors passed through Bayford village to take in the beautiful English gardens, listen to live Bands and enjoy cream teas, BBQs and country walks.
This year Bayford Gardens day showed its support for The Josh Carrick Foundation by setting up a Champage and Presecoo tent in the Garden of New Pond House. The English weather thank goodness held out for once and thanks I am sure to Josh the sun was shining brightly for us. At first it took some persuading to get people to start drinking in the early afternoon but as seasoned professionals we led by example and drank a few glasses ourselves (all paid for of course).
With the sun shining, the steel band playing and the champagne flowing the day was a great success and saw us raise an impressive £845 with additional donations of over £100. We would like to say a big thank you to Monica and Charles Lambert for all their support on the day and letting us take over their beautiful garden. We would also like to thank Carla Read who was an honorary trustee for the day and helped us set up and sell all day.
